If you have applied for jobs in the UK and you are not successful lack of UK clinical experience might be one of the reasons.
Many UK employers ask candidates to demonstrate physiotherapy experience gained in the UK.
To answer interview questions correctly candidates will need to understand the UK physiotherapy system.

I have applied for 6 different physio positions. Everywhere I apply I am told that I need to obtain 6 months of UK clinical experience. What can I do? Many clinic owners and NHS clinical managers would ask for 6 months experience from working in the UK. We have established excellent relationships with various clinics in the UK and we can offer work placements for the candidates who do not have UK clinical physiotherapy experience. However, if the candidates applies for NHS physiotherapy work and the Job Specification states that UK clinical experience is required, we can offer practical placements in Sheffield, Luton or Kent. Please ring us for a confidential discussion. If you have not worked as a physiotherapist for more than 2 years, you may be asked by the HCPC to complete "Return to Work programme". It is a supervised practice under supervision of a HCPC Registered Physiotherapist. It can be also a supervised study.
