Live in care Oxford – review – palliative care.

November 3, 2019

I am writing this review on behalf of my Mum.

My Mum is 83 and she was diagnosed with cancer in 2018.

Because of her age and significant past medical history, doctors decided that my Mum will not receive any radiotherapy or chemo.

My Mum was happy with that.

There are 3 palliative nurses coming who offer assistance with Morphine patches but there are days my mum feels great.

Because I have 3 kids and full time work, I could not always be there for my Mum.

I goggled “home care in Oxford” and the most rated company was Monroe Medical.

After a detailed assessments we were sent CV’s if carers.

One carer who lived in England was interviewed in person and 2 other carers via Skype.

We have chosen Aneta – Polish nurses.

For the last 5 weeks, Aneta has provided excellent care and assisted my Mum with all the requests starting from daily walks until assistance with toileting when my Mum needed it, especially during the night.

There are many Oxford live in care companies but Monroe Medical combines physio and home care in Oxford.

This is really important because my mum needs daily walks and fall prevention exercises.

We feel that Mum is well looked after.

She has very little pain at present and Aneta who is there 24/7 gives me a peace of mind and reassurance that my Mum is ok.

I recommend Monroe Medical as top home care in Oxford.
