The practical element is the most important part when it comes to proficiency in Injection Therapy.

Our practical part of the course consists of the following:

A) Practice on other participants and themselves using a needle – this is the most common method used worldwide for joint injection/PRP/acupuncture courses. This method is highly recommended to maximise learning outcomes. Please read information about this type of learning method.

B) Practice on other participants and themselves without a needle (“dry practice”).

Please note, if candidates do not opt for the methods described in points A and B, a model will be provided for dry practice. However, we strongly recommend methods A and B for a detailed understanding of anatomical structures.

Please note, loose clothing is required for methods A and B.

If you selected methods A and B, please read the following: The participants are informed of the following:

1. This method will involve inserting a needle (minimally invasive approach) into the body/tissue/joint without adding any medication, only for practical purposes.

2. You may or may not feel “mild pain” at the insertion site in your body/tissue/joint due to needle insertion during practical sessions, which will automatically recover/reduce within 1-4 hours. This mild pain will not restrict any function.

3. The following may occur at the infiltration/injection site: redness or mild swelling, which will automatically reduce within a short period and will not restrict any function.

4. The tutor will demonstrate practical infiltration/injection on the participants’ joints.

5. A drop of blood may occur After withdrawing the needle from the body/tissue/joint.
